aText accelerates your typing by replacing abbreviations with frequently used phrases you define: for example, make an abbreviation "myname" to insert your name "First Middle Last" in any application.
With aText you can easily avoid typing the same thing over and over.

When I first purchased this app, it worked well enough to warrant using.
However and as time went-on, the text expander began to become more and more problematic, and even to the point of not working anymore.
That said, and in spite of asking for help, I have received no responses from the seller, and so I decided to go with another text expander.
All in all, it is unfortunate that the software has taken such a turn, though if I had one criticism aside from a none working text expander, is is that the developer would tend to his product rather than ignoring paying customers.

I emailed this dev a couple of weeks ago about his lifetime licensing policy, i.e. is it the lifetime of the current version or is it for all versions going forward. No reply. Quite frankly I'd say stay away from this product since there are other options available from devs who actually give some kind of support ...

Only 11 months and atext is on V3.9, so pretty soon V4 will be out, so 29.99 for a lifetime license doesn't look like very good value. V2 still working just fine for now !
